R&D Global Technology Center (GTC) is looking for an innovation engineer who will work in a team responsible for advanced sensors design and algorithms for new processes involved in home and professional appliances
The successful candidate will be asked to develop new modules/systems/product concepts integrating innovative technologies explored and optimized by all GTC departments, to include new sensing technologies, new materials for chemical and physical sensing devices, specifications, prototypes creation and experimental testing/validation.
The position involves working in an international, multi-competence and cross-product line environment. The ideal candidate is innovative in coming up with new ideas that add value to the customer and constantly challenges the status quo. She or he strives for a visible, measurable benefit from every action.
Requirements:
Education:
• Masters Degree (M.Sc.) or preferable Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
Technical Skills:
• Good knowledge of analytical instrumentation, electronic instrumentation and computer interfacing
• Good knowledge of sensing technologies and related measurement methods and instrumentations.
• Fundamental knowledge of home appliances and related production processes
• Good knowledge in Computer Vision algorithms, signal processing, advanced algorithms (fuzzy logic, artificial intelligence, genetic algorithms, etc..), machine learning, data mining, control systems design
• Good knowledge of statistical computing methods and tools for pattern recognition and sensors data analysis
• Knowledge of DOE and quality tools
• Knowledge of signal and data processing software tools (e.g. Labview, Matlab, Simulink, R)
• Good knowledge in firmware and software programming language in (e.g. C, C++)
• Good knowledge of Linux OS
• Fundamental knowledge of experimental analysis mechanical systems. Thermo-flow, heat and mass transfer or dynamics & vibration experimental characterization will be appreciated
• Proficient with office IT and project management tools
Preferred career experience:
• 2+ years experience in R&D and product design environment is a valuable plus
• Experience in an international organization / company is a valuable plus
• Proven experience on driving complex advanced technology research focused on advanced algorithms development for sensors integration and implementation in embedded hardware

Обязанности
• Development and implementation of application-specific demonstrators Integration of technologies/technology modules developed by GTC up to ensure proper interfaces with the existing product architectures and modules
• Regular reports and presentations to management with scientific documentation & dissemination of results
• Applies technical expertise, commensurate with a recognized expert in the applicable field. Invents new technology or advances the state-of-the-art in complex products or processes with substantial technical risks. Maintains an awareness of probable future product requirements and product trends with regards to advancing technology
• Closely interact with all GTC and other relevant functions (R&D, Purchasing, Marketing, Industrial Design, etc.) to ensure a seamless delivery of projects
• Ensure a smooth transfer of new components and modules to AD and PD
